This program is designed to develop skills in sight singing and ear training. Skills include listening and identifying scales, intervals, chords, as well as reading simple tonal melodies at sight and the ability to take aural dictation.
Students are expected to practice aural theory assignments at home, and therefore need daily access to a device that can play music.
There are so many music resources online nowadays, especially for learning aural theory! But if you really want to get ahead, you’ll need the expertise of a musician and the accountability of private lessons. You can spend hours listening to music and practicing on your own, but you’ll be missing out on one crucial element: feedback. Even if you’re just learning music theory for fun, the extra attention from a private teacher can do wonders for your education. Cara has been teaching and performing music for over a decade and has the expertise needed to guide you on your music journey!
